Venue: The venue 4th EAP Course in Preparation of the European Board Exam for Phoniatrics is Izmir, Ege Palace Hotel.

Language:  The official language of the course is English.

Letter of Invitation:  Upon request, the Organizing Secretariat will send a personal invitation to participants. This invitation is meant only to help visitors to raise travel funds or to obtain a visa, and is not a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support.

Name Badges: All participants, must wear the name badges to be able to proceed meeting halls and hand on training facilities.

Certificate of Attendance: Certificates of Attendance will be available, starting from Saturday 3 May 2019 during lunch at the Registration Desk.

Visa Requirements
Participants are requested to check with the Turkish Consulate in their home country or with their travel agency or at www.mfa.gov.tr for visa requirements. Entry visa to Turkey can also be obtained at Izmir Atatürk Airport for a number of countries.

Banking and Exchange Facilities
Currency is the Turkish Lira. Foreign money can be changed by banks during working days (09.00- 17.00 Monday - Friday) as well as hotels, exchange offices. Exchange rates are set daily by the Central Bank. All major credit cards are accepted in most of the hotels, restaurants and shops. Automated bank machines are available at many points throughout the city and the airport.

The Turkish currency is Turkish Lira. The exchange rate for Turkish Lira as of November 2018 is;

USD 1 = TRL 5,32

Restaurants and Turkish Cuisine
There is a wide choice of restaurants in Izmir offering a broad spectrum ranging from excellent national cuisine to first class international dishes. Traditional Turkish cuisine is famous for its many specialties prepared with fresh vegetables. There are lots of quality restaurants as well as fast-food shops in the vicinity of the hotels reserved for this meeting.

One of the most enjoyable parts of a trip to Turkey is shopping for the rich variety of Turkish crafts. Izmir is a shopping paradise with its Covered Bazaar as well as the modern malls.

Pay phones and credit card phones are available at the meeting venue as well as in the city.

The electrical power supply in Turkey is 220 volts.

Turkey is 2 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

Although service charge is included in most restaurants, leaving a tip at one's own discretion is appreciated.
